It was time she got some paint repair cause the rust was bad.
I have been waiting for my car to be completed.
I have access to another car so it was urgently needed in 1 week or 2 weeks.
I wanted to give them enough time to give quality work.
The bodyshop I work with arranged to do the work on lost time.
They do not do 1/2 ass work. They spray cars for dealerships and have a downdraft paint booth !!! ( allows them to bake the cars and have roof mounted filters - Great setup !! )
It worked out really well.
The paint is a Mid quality. Dupont Cromabase, with added metalic.
5 Base coats. 3 layers of Dupont CromaClearcoat.
They needed to cut both my rear wheel arches out and re-weld the whole section on both sides. It was very rotten on the passenger side. My undercarriage needed to be repaired in certain areas (lift points, toe hooks, rocker panels) Whole car on the outside got sanded down and repaired where needed.
They used great materials and together have over 40 years of bodywork experience.
I ordered new wheel arches, for the Accord 94-97.
According to the body parts depot, they sent the right ones, which was not the case. They sent 92-95 Civic skins. They were used anyways, with lots of extra welding, cutting, modifying to fit.
